Guestbook for Charles Robert Burchinal Showing 1 - 3 of 3 entries.

I cooked 3 meals a day about 4 to 5 days a week for Charlie from July 2006 to March 2007 while living at Dave Fisse's home in Ashland. Although Charlie was a great cook, Dave determined that I should cook. It irked Charlie that Dave did this and it well may have caused him to have bitter feelings towards me. I am sorry if it created a problem but I was caught in the middle. I cleaned and tried to be attentive to Charlie as much as I could. I admired Charlie's ability to keep going and enjoy motor cross into his 80s!

Please accept my condolences in the loss of your loved one.

We knew Charlie when he lived in Ashland, Oregon. He gave me one of his knives that he made. I treasure it. Charlie cooked many a meal for us and he always made us feel welcome. His stories entertained us and his gentle spirit warmed our hearts on many occasions. He was a wonderful and generous man with a great sense of humor and humility. We send our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. He was a great man. One we will never forget and one we will always be grateful to for his friendship. May he rest in peace as he rests in our hearts.
